The measure of a society is how it honors and cares for its senior citizens. A nation as wealthy as America should take care of its senior citizens at home before sending billions of dollars abroad. Congress cannot fix this problem. It's time for the private sector to step up to the plate. ARA receives tax deductible donations and channels the money directly to needy retired Americans, tax free.
When it comes to shoring up Social Security' Americans favor what might be called the Russell Long approach.
Myth #1: Social Security is in crisis and facing bankruptcy.
Congress is unable to address this issue. In fact, the only solutions they have are to raise taxes or cut benefits, or both. Meanwhile, Americans who should be respected and honored suffer. ARA is the conduit through which untaxed dollars can be made available to honor our retired Americans, leaving congress out of the equation. ARA is committed to distributing as close to 100% of gifts as possible. Many charities only distribute the minimum of 5%, as the I.R.S. requires. We are committed to low-cost, efficient performance.
ARA is a 2 fold solution. "So that … the aliens, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands." Deuteronomy 14:29 Many retired Americans live in poverty with no savings. They depend entirely on Social Security income. There are many reasons for their misfortune, not all by their own fault.
Regardless of the reason, they are fellow Americans who desparately need help. They are our senior citizens, who should be able to spend their golden years with dignity. At the time of life when they should have peace and comfort, they are burdened by worry, sadness and depression.
The Social Security system does what it can to address this problem. However, it is unable to target this group to lift their income above the poverty level. In the midst of this growing economy, these folks are being left behind. Daily News Updates Important Articles Favored Links Featured Articles |
